Been riding around yesterday afternoon, and I can’t help but notice that whenever I ride past another motorcycle (moving in the opposite direction) they stick out their hand and two fingers, the left one I believe (right one’s gotta stay on the throttle right…?).

Are they just saying hi? Insulting me? I’m totally bewildered so I just copy and return the gesture whenever possible.

Motorcycle wave. Most motorcyclist wave at eachother when passing, acknowledging the “brotherhood”. Just a friendly gesture, much like the jeep wave.

I also thought I would share this video on this topic. Though I’m not a rider yet i did stumble upon this video in M-13’s(Does helmet blogs and is very enjoyable to listen too) collection of Riding Tip videos and thought it was hilarious. Enjoy.
