Good Afternoon everyone!! My name is Michelle and I am from Texas. My partner Dan has a motorcycle (Boulevard 800 Cruiser) and I thoroughly enjoy riding with him as a second passenger. However, it’s time for ME to get a bike!!! I want one so badly!!! So I have begun researching what the best bike would be. A little about myself. I am 38, am only 4’9″ tall and have a 28″ inseam. I know…not a good thing for wanting a bike huh?? !!! ??? I used to ride all over town when i was younger (15) on a small Yamaha. But havent ridden since. We are going to the Honda dealership tomorrow to look at a 750 Shadow Spirit. Not to buy one…just so I can sit on them and see how it feels. I also thought about a Yamaha 600 Classic…but not sure that would do well keeping up with his Suzuki 800. Any thoughts….information….Please help…what do you think??? I need to get some boots soon….might even have to have thicker soles put on them.

The Blvd 800 is a great bike, but nothing that will present a challenge for most any other bike to keep up with. It may be marginally faster than a 500, but it would only be noticed if your BF was trying to lose you and working the bike to it’s limit.
Others on this site will have more valuable info on cruisers for someone your height. Best of luck.

with a decent pair of riding boots, you can increase your riding height. my seat height is at least an inch higher than my inseam, but with boots on, i’m good to go.

with cruisers i don’t think you’ll have much of a problem, especially with some good boots.

…markets platform boots designed for shorter motorcycle riders. They’ve got a cool demon-face front with glowing orange-evil eyes for greater riding visibility. They will also spit fire when activated by a little switch on the side.

    Just kidding… :)
