New from Virginia

Hey guys,

Happened to come across this site while looking up information for beginner bikers. I have to say that this site has informed me so much about what steps I should take in getting a new bike. I'm looking to get a used Ninja 250 but am still saving up so I don't have to take out a loan. I also want to get the appropriate gear to protect my ass. My n00b friend just got a gsxr600 and totaled it after 2 days...*luckily* the ground broke his fall so he wound up with a broken throttle wrist, broken rib, chipped molars, and some nasty road rash...

Glad to be here and thanks for having me. I look forward to learning as much as possible to protect myself from impending doom ;)
