Anyone in the path of this storm?

We are getting rain of coarse. Messing up my Sunday ride . . But this is a storm for the gulf coast. Anyone in front of this thing? If it holds strong like this , well I lost everything I had to Andrew some years ago. Best wishes, take good care. Stay safe.

I worked in Miami as a roofer after Andrew. I was living in Clearwater at the time, but our crew went down there for 6 months a few days after the storm hit. The devastation was unbelievable, would be standing on a roof out by the Metro zoo and all you could see for miles around was torn up roofs, collapsed townhomes. They built those places like crap back then, I believe they tightened up the codes after that storm.

I can not tell you how hard things hit my house before things ripped off and gave way. Something hit one of my cars so hard it was totaled. I have no idea what hit it! Looked like it was a Mac truck it did so much damage. Do not trust the "good construction" of your house in a cat 4 or 5. Shit knocks it the F down. And as folks from New Orleans will tell you, ten feet of water is deep in the best of homes. (-:

Previous post is right, cat 5 is the monster in your dreams, run from it.
