I used to sell cars and to clear what you heard up, most car dealers keep their numbers by fiscal year and not calendar year. So, the dealerships year for numbers sold might actually be in Feb or March. Was that way at the few different dealerships I worked for. To help out a little bit more, they mostly focused on their monthly numbers. Commissions were based on monthly sales and they like to try and put a few extra out towards the end of the month to pad their numbers a little bit. Some circumstances, they will take a small loss to get the big bonus for the higher numbers sold. I don’t know what the markup on a bike is but, trust me, I’ll find out.
