Since I’ve signed up, from my perspective, most of the people here seem to be new riders, most of us kinda are in the same boat as you. I’m not from oregon, but from what people tell me that have ridden through there, there are some nice roads to ride, even though it’s full of speed traps… 
anyhoo, have fun getting started, take the msf course, and your experiences would be a great help to other people later on down the line that start motorin’.
