thanks Shadow for posting about your experience on a v star 650.  i am 32 years old, 6 ft tall 320 lbs 42 inch  waist and looking for my first motorcycle. My tastes lean more to cruisers than sportbikes.  I am not looking for speed just something i can comfortably ride and use a daily commuter in decent weather and to take day trips on my days off.  I admit i have always wanted a Harley but i think something else would be better for me to start on.  I understand the using a clutch and shifting coordination, have ridden a dirtbike a few times several years ago.
