Myzx14r5'11"……….305 and have been riding for many yrs… 1st cc and torque do matter and a 500cc bike for big guys is a JOKE! Decide the type of big and work off that. I ride a 2014 zx14r……..one might say ……not a newbie bike…..but this bike has power modes and traction control. Start in low power mode with traction control on 3……impossible to lift the front wheel off the ground(I have tried). The busa has power modes BUT NO TRACTION CONTROL (as a new or old rider traction control helps with such a big toy). Any cruiser over 1100cc will do. Less than 1100cc you will be wasting money when u go to trade the bike(just so easy to want more from the bike). Sports naked bikes r also cool. U have the speed and performance of the sports bike but different ergos. I have owned a z1000 and bmw k1200r sport ridden the ducati monster 1200. Z1000 was a smaller bike but a great city bike.
Decide the type of bike by sitting on them. Research safety(abs brakes, power modes, traction control), price(better to save for what u want than playing the trade in game) and reliability.
