If it’s been under a year….yea I think it’s their way of saying they have not a clue ( or the training) on how to fix your problem. Refer to your paperwork from when you bought the bike on how long a warranty you have…both mileage and years, it will be one or the other which ever comes first.The back firing could be a by product of the leaking exhaust. Try another dealer and also IF your paper work confirms your suspicions then also try to talk with Suzuki themselves.
