Newenough.com - Site Review

Introduction:
So you know what you want, what size, and what color. You probably even have a price in mind for what you want to pay. But with so many choices out there you are not sure where to buy it. Yeah, you could buy it from a bike dealer, however the experience of learning that you overpaid for your gear is not fun and it never will be.

With online sales becoming more and more popular over the years, companies have had to become very cutting edge with the tactics they use and what they offer. Some just for thought, no re-stocking fees on RMA items (Return Merchandise Application) and group my items into as few shipments as possible is just a couple that come to mind.

What Is Newenough.com?
Located in Texas, Newenough.com is a motorcycle apparel site, in short. They offer gear online that you can buy with just a click of the button, and a few letters and numbers… but who pays attention to what we type right?

They offer everything from riding textile jackets, riding leather jackets to the boots on your feet and the gloves on your hands. But more so they also offer accessories galore. Everything from wheel chocks to tie downs, disc locks and even that handy disc lock reminder.

The website:
Although the main page is bleak, don’t let it get you down. They have a lot to offer and the easy navigability of the website makes it easy to find what you want. There are two main categories, Street Apparel and Street Parts & Accessories. Each of these are broken down into sub categories. The setup makes it very easy to find what you need in a timely fashion.

They also use something that I enjoy, thumbnails. It makes it very easy to find that item that catches your eye. You might think that because they use thumbnails the site is slow. It is quite the opposite.

Here is something else that might catch your attention, pictures. There is no shortage of pictures on each product that they offer. They offer pictures of each product alone on a white background and further more they offer pictures of someone wearing the items or the item in use. The pictures them selves are very clear and they don’t mess around with those small useless-sized pictures either. Almost every picture on newenough is large enough to get a great view on the item if interest.

The only bad part of the website I could find was the first page. When you first enter the site you see a “what we are about” statement, while good, it could be replaced with new items in stock, closeout items and useful items. I don’t feel that I need to be sold on using newenough, from the moment I started using the site I felt very comfortable.

The Prices:
I have spent a lot of time price searching different sites for the best prices. Understand that I do not like placing ten orders at ten different websites. I found newenough’s prices to be in line with just about every other apparel site I searched. Most of the time they came in at just the same price and others they were below.

The order Process:
You have two options to pay, standard credit card or paypal. This is where the site gets tricky. I did have to place my order twice because when I first used the standard credit card feature it rejected me because my address was not the same. It was a difference of one space between a word. When I received the error my card was charge pending and I never received an email notice that it didn’t go through. The error received was displayed at the top of the page on a red background. Very noticeable but just not enough.

I then placed my order again using paypal and instantly received a email from them saying that my order was placed.
The only thing that bugged me about placing a order was the limited quantity of a item. I feel that they are getting a lot of orders and in turn are shipping items so fast that they run out of stock before they can order more. They make up for this by telling you when they will have more. Also if they don’t have any in stock in newenough’s warehouse, they will have their distributors send your order to you directly.

Customer Support:
I knew I had to wait till Monday to contact customer support and since I placed my order on a Friday evening I knew it would be a long wait. However I failed to notice that they answer support emails 7 days a week. This is something I really like. Once I sent them a email they swiftly replied telling me that my order was not charged and it will be off my bank statement once it clears through my bank.

They were very helpful and gave me a full explanation of why it was still on my bank statement and assured me that it was not charged.

Shipping:
I placed a order of eight items on Monday Sep 24th, including accessories and apparel. My order was shipped from three different places including newenough's warehouse and two of their distributors. The shipping was standard ground through UPS and Fedex and I received all of my items by the Thursday of that week. They didn’t fiddle with shipping it to their warehouse then to me but instead directly to me.

Conclusion:
If you are looking for good prices, great customer support and fast shipping, newenough.com may be for you. There is no doubt in my mind that I would place an order again with them. The website is easy to use, they ship items fast, and they have great customer support. The seven-day-a-week email support is also a big plus considering you can most likely resolve your problem before Monday in most cases.

They are a company that is spreading like rapid fire through the motorcycle community and I am sure if kept on the same track they will one day be big enough to do anything.
