Hate to tell ya
Hate to tell ya Elwood...thats not a Hornet.... thats an A6 Intruder.

Don't think it was an Intruder.
The fuselage was narrow and the intakes are vertical. The A6 has intakes at an angle and a wider side by side cockpit.
I think it looks like an F-18 with a centerline external fuel tank. Could be wrong though because the pictures are not clear.

Not an F-18
It wasn't an F-18, looked like it only had a single tail. It might not be an american aircraft, or it might be an older A-4 Skyhawk.
oook...actually second
oook...actually second look...if you pause it at 0:23 the wings are under body, squared of off intakes...almost has a Euro Fighter profile.... but lacks the "fins" on the fuselage. Got me intrigued now....am on the hunt......Actual video title says Spitfire and looking at some photos on the web I would assume that to be accurate. Wow didn't realize they had intakes under the wing. Explains the Halo though I see in the video, just wasn't sure if that was a prop shadow or it was really pushing that plane hard.
Huh.... learn something new everyday I guess. Been to long since I looked at war planes. Need to hit the airshow next year.

Not a Spitfire
It does look like a Harrier Jet, though. I apologize if I spoiled the "hunt" for you.
Not even close to a
Not even close to a harrier....the Harrier has top mounted wings with jets mid belly of the plane. A lot bulkier profile also.

That is a harrier

Flybys
If you're looking at the video titled low flying spitfire, that's what it is. Supermarine Spitfire, liquid cooled Rolls Royce engine. The underwing ducts are intakes for the radiator
