Trackday vid from infineon. Had an interesting day at Infineon. After the second session, was told to GTFO of C group and forced bump to B group. My computer wouldn't turn on even though the battery has been fully charged since last night, so only vid on the second C group session. On the 3rd lap of the next to last session, proceeded to lowside on T11... First crash on the track... Luckily, the damage is cosmetic and minor.
This is the avi dump of the quicktime movie... the quicktime movie has way better quality, but you'd have to upgrade your quicktime to quicktime pro, which sucks. The quality is better if you just watch it from veoh.

I like the different angles .
I like the different angles . . . it really is the one behind you seeing you work the bike that gives a lot of the feel for how aggressive a ride it is. I like watching the one from the front and seeing the track coming however. (-;
Low side . . . is T11 a fast turn? Was all that "run off" I keep preaching a good thing? LoL If you are going to race, you are going to crash. It is just part of it. Look at all the top guys . .they all have quite the list of broken bones. (-; Its part of why I just have no desire to truly push limits on the street . .if you are at the limits, you will cross them now and again.
So you are a "B" movie racer now. LoL Thats what happens when you start feeling fast, they humble you all over again! Next thing ya know . . you'll be shopping a sponsor . . . .
Looks real good out there . . got to respect what you have already accomplished.

T11 is a slow, tight right hander going into the front straight. off track around T11 is pretty spacious so it's kind of a runnoff, but you don't want to be out of control in that area, since it's all kwall. As far as the streets, i don't push it on the streets anymore like i used to. I'm more sedate in the twisties and slower. Ironic.

Not Ironic at all. You had
Not Ironic at all.
You had to learn the turns on the track . . you had to know when to brake, well, you LEARN the track . . and do it over and over . .and STILL can with ease blow a turn. And that is a predictable environment.
To me that does a few things. It is an alarm bell warning . .unpredictable streets are not the place to be on the razors edge. (-; Plus, once you have the opportunity to push it right up to your limits in an environment that really does take you all the way to the edge . . .the street is slow, and foolish for much less speed.
One of the motor GP movies . .speed? Whatever, at the end they ask about riding "off track". Funny how many said they don't do it at all, to dangerous. (-;
I was a speed freak when I was young. For me it was just coming room SC country roads in the service 30 years ago back to Miami . . . I went from always being well over 100 to almost never . . . folded a Trans Am in half at 110 once. (-; Not fun.
You found an outlet that simply cannot be matched on the street. Simple stuff. And a much better option as well. Safer for you, and the folks around you. I know . .this is when I SOUND like I am knocking on 50's door. LoL Logical however . . why risk a fools ride on the street when you have a track day to blow all the stops out. (-;

Great views
This is so awesome. I hope to go to the track someday to see how it feels. You guys are so right about speeding on the track and not on the streets. The track is a controlled environment, the streets... you take your hand off the handle bar to scratch your butt and then something appears out of nowhere.
A bit off topic, but in the video, why does the sun has a black dot in the middle?
Good day:

Not a clue. Might be it's the brightest part of the sun and the camera can't process it. As far as the track goes, it's definately the place to learn first hand... not just about riding, but about how a motorcycle works and why it reacts the way it does.
