Took the Vulcan through the Dragon this week

in

I had some vacation time available this week, so when the wife and daughter decided to fly back to Texas for a visit, this temporary bachelor loaded up the Vulcan and headed for Tennessee.

I had a great two days of riding the Tail of the Dragon and the Foothills Parkway toward Gatlinburg. Even with a newbie like me in the saddle, the Vulcan can keep up with any of the the big cruisers in the twisties.

Here's a couple of pictures. First, the lonely Vulcan in the parking lot at Deal's Gap. I was definitely the only Vulcan there, and I'm sure it's just my imagination that none of the HD riders parked near me.

Then, the Vulcan at the overlook near the north end, peeking down at the dam far below. I don't think the Vulcan likes heights, either.

good deal. I live about 3 hours east of there. Don't think I will venture the dragon though. Seen to many reports on squids no matter the type of bike and also the 18 wheelers that try to make it a short cut. Glad you came back safe and had fun!

****Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but, rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit....What a ride!!!"****
