I believe he mentioned in a post that he was going to be out of touch for a bit. I don't remember exactly what he said but I'm pretty sure I remember him saying he'd be riding a Segway.

Hey guys! Sorry I was out of commission for almost 3 weeks. I went on a vay-cay in between jobs. Had fun Segwaying for sure tho, you guys gotta try it! It's good to know someone missed me ;)
Glad to hear it!
I get worried because, at least at gsxr.com or gixxer.com, a new member who stops posting around the time he/she was supposed to get a new bike means one thing: they aren't alive to post anymore. Usually it's a first-time rider who ignores everybody's advice and goes for the gixxer anyway...it's terribly sad to watch. They have an entire section of the forum dedicated to RIP threads. Ugh.
It's just one more thing that makes the dynamic on this forum so much more pleasant.
An RIP Forum?!
I can't believe they have a forum devoted to remembering their fallen members. That's terrible (not that they remember them, but how many of them fall). At least we have a good BBM rep over there. I'm sure you've done your part in recommending they visit BBM. Who knows, maybe you've saved a life or two!
No need for me
You'd be surprised. They're all very anti-gixxer-as-first-bike and try very hard to talk sense into people that come through. Most of the people are just looking for support for a decision they've already made and nobody has any chance of talking them out of it.
Yep, and that's one reason
Yep, and that's one reason why I think it's important to have some years on 4 wheels under your belt before getting a bike. You start to gain a bit of sensibility in regards to why certain bikes might actually be more dangerous on the streets, and to start lower. Sad, cuz these kids are just looking for blind and biased support in a decision that they have already made. They need to take into consideration the RATIO of people saying 'yay' to 'nay.' Anyways, keep on reppin' to the kids eternal
