This is how it happens

All cars creep . .and I was eye balling this one and leaning left at first. When I thought it was going to just go, I was already starting to make a swerve behind it to the right. .then the jerk just stops, opps, back to the left. (-; Roads were wet . .I was only going like 35 . .not sure if I could have stopped or not if I would have had to, don't think so, but I could have hit him slow at least. I look for this in every car . .but as this illustrates . .when its real, options narrow fast.

I'm always looking for

I'm always looking for something like that too. that's why I ride on the other lane, so I can have more room and I feel more visible. besides, you can always use the middle lane as an emergency exit. remember that sometimes, here in miami, they don't do full stops when turning to the right, so you have to be carefull with that as well. hey, sometimes I want to go riding, but I dont know where to, so if you know a something or you are going to do something, send me an email irengo_grungeman13@hotmail.com so we can go riding. see you around.

Point well taken about the

Point well taken about the outside lane giving the cage better visibility. I am just a lazy driver in traffic. I get in the lane I need for my next turn and stay put . . . sometimes on the bike that is a bad habit. (-;

I sent ya e mail. I am at work now, and sadly I am cooking for my daughters baby shower tomorrow. They are racing bikes at Homestead tomorrow. I really wanted to take my camera and ride for that one. Might still sneak in for an hour or two . . .we'll see.

Looking at this one next month . .might even add some ink while I am there if I can find some money. (-;

Anyway, give me a holler. If you live in easy riding distance we should look for an excuse to cross paths. I am always open to riding opportunities. How much saddle time do you have? One of my favorite rides early on was OLD Cutler early on a Sunday Morning. Flamingo is another very relaxing ride, if not LONG. (-; Lots of opportunity to stop and rest, snap pics . . the trail of coarse. Hwy 27 is popular. These days I will ride the Palmetto in the rain just for something to do. LoL Been thinking A1A or Collins would be worth a run, but have been waiting to take my dog with me on that one. (-; Girls on the beach, dog on the bike . .never know, might grab a few numbers that way. ((-;

Edit:
The email to you "permanently failed" . . sent ya a PM with contact info.

Shes starting to drop . .so any day now and I will have a grad daughter. (-; Keep telling my daughter we can use the dogie seat so I can take the kid for rides! Just strap the rug rat in . .. . ((-; She seems not to see the humor in that! LoL

I had my son in a mask and snorkel in blue water before he was 3. She was a little slower in the deep stuff, but she was fine on the reefs . . . She is not sure how to take me and this bike at all. LoL

If I was that biker behind

If I was that biker behind that idiot, I would have pulled up next to him/her and kindly asked WTF he/she was paying attention to...I know some riders who would have knocked that person's side mirror off if they saw that happen...

It was not a biker. (-; It's

It was not a biker. (-; It's two dudes on scooters. They get a kick out of me, they beep beeped at me one day and I Air Horned back. (-; I see them almost every day after work. Never talked to them or anything, but they did split, one on each side of that car as I went by. (Hint hint, keep waving, never know when those fellow riders will have your back.)
What you don't see in that clip is me expressing my displeasure in my own special way as I passed in front of him. (-; The cager may just have thought he was looking at having a bad day.

Hahaha, friggin sweet. I

Hahaha, friggin sweet. I would absolutely LOVE to see those two scooters pull up around that guy. HAHAHA, that is hilarious! Seriously, I love the thought of two hardcore scooters glaring at this car...priceless

Otherwise I have watched your vid several times, trying to analyze what you did right. I just hope I can have that same reaction time on the streets in the same situation. "He's going...he's NOT going!" Yah, good maneuvering, I saw a lot of room for error but you performed perfectly, especially in wet conditions!

Damn, it just looks like it's sooo close when you decide to go in front of him instead! eeek

Dude, I got lucky. I was

Dude, I got lucky. I was going to go behind him, and that would have also meant missing the scooter dudes. That also assumes I was able to get in behind him. Had I committed to that move just a bit more, I might not have been open to swing back in front of him. I do not know if I could have made a dead stop. I was on the brakes, but "choosing" to swerve meant I was not on the brakes 100%, and that was lost stopping distance . . . If anything I would have at least hit him under 20 mph.

Had I been a little closer, it would have looked like that commercial that is running now where the car pulls right in front of the bike. Just a quick bang. Even on your toes, the truth is not everything can be missed, or will miss us. That was just one of the closest I have caught on tape so far. I have had closer calls sadly, one of the worst was my own fault. I was looking at one jerk and almost rode right into a line of stopped traffic. (-; THAT would have been embarrassing. (-;
