This is a "meet up" group locally here in Miami. They have the right idea, practice, practice, practice. But . .notice the half lids, no lids, t shirts . . lucky for this girl she was not in an open face lid. Had she of been she would be a mess . . . . it is a little long . .but worth the watch.

She is definitely lucky to

She is definitely lucky to have the full face... another thing is thats a good demonstration of why front brakes are a bad idea in slow speed maneuvers. Cones didsn't help much either. Not to mention ...commit... commit to your turn and decision.
Oh yea and highway bars to the rescue!!!! Imagine that sporty and the handle bars without it. I hope she gets in the saddle shortly after that and repeats that practice over and over and over.

Yep . .those highway bars are

Yep . .those highway bars are golden. I cant make up my mind if she just wedged that cone and slid on it, or locked her front break up on it. That was a full cone . .might have just wedged under the wheel and slid.

You are dead on however . .great example of what happens when you chicken out and tense up. The bike wants ya to relax and follow through. I would say that was 99% of the problem . .she did not commit, relax and follow through.

That is a group I want to hook up with for a ride. They just do 99% of there rides on Saturdays when I am work. . Oh well, all in good time.

That face first landing seems pretty common. I have seen a lot of that. I cant remember the last time I wore my 3/4 lid . . just does not feel right anymore. As ugly as I am I cant even picture landing like that and making it even worse!!!!! LoL

Pausing it in intervals she

Pausing it in intervals she had the misfortune of locking that front just as she rolled over that cone

I'm glad she got up smiling,

I'm glad she got up smiling, she really was lucky it wasn't worse than that. I might even see about that MSF advanced course before too long. If only to brush up on skills.

I want to get the ERC in this

I want to get the ERC in this year . . we'll see how sales look as the year moves along. . .

Munch . .
Yes, she ran right over the line of cones. I am not sure she did not tangle up the back tire too. I find it hard to use cones. I have a really bad habit of LOOKING at them! Screws up my mojo! I am always smother when I free lance than when I cone it out. But sometimes you need to know you are getting it reeled in tight.

The first pass she looked pretty comfortable . . I think her brain was ready to go right, and when she had to adjust left, like a dear in head lights, she really looked like she froze up, tensed up, whatever. Not like that basic mistake has not happened to me a time or two. Ice skating on the cones is what put her down for sure. No cones, no crash. Good argument for those cut in half tennis balls and low profile cones.
