Newbie to the Forum

Hi - I am a female living in Ontario, Canada. Currently own (and love) 1996 535 Virago. I keep rubbing the gas tank hoping it will grow to a 800 cc but no genies in my garage to help me out. Vertically challenged at 5'2".

Been riding for 9 years and love travelling into the U.S. for our biking holidays. Best trip ever is to South Dakato. We traillered our bikes with friends and spent the most fabous week. We were there the week before Sturgis. Riding thru the badlands 115 degrees was a story we have told many, many times and always with smiles on our faces.

I posted a question about switching to a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard S50 or a 2009 Vulcan 500 LTD. Hopefully someone can help me out with my delimina.

If you're wishing your 535 is an 800, I wouldn't think you'll be satisfied with a 500. The 535 was a pretty powerful bike, so I'm skeptical of the idea that a new cruise with substantially the same size engine is going to be appreciably different.

I'd look at the S50, M50, Vulcan 900, as well as the Sporties.

Stepping up? More CC's or newer? More CC's a V900 would be a comfortable step up. Though I will definitely caution you to get re adjusted to the power band changes and especially the torque delivery. The weight of the bike will come into play also.
Thats assuming your staying with cruiser types. I have the Vulcan 900 Classic LT. I can lend any experiences I have with mine to help .

They're definitely very pretty bikes. Saw them at the dealership and thought they were very nice looking at. If you're touring on your bikes though, have you considered some of the touring/sport touring models? Honda and BMW are both definitely well known in that category, and HD is known to have a good touring cruisers. None of those options are cheap though.
