Can you write? BBM wants you! - (Free T-shirts!)

Hello riders!

BBM is trying to expand a bit more and I've noticed that a lot of you are buying motorcycle gear that I haven't had a chance to review yet. Although posting a review on the forum is great, I find that posts can be lost in time after only a few weeks. If you feel like writing a review on a piece of gear you've tried whether it be helmets, jackets, gloves, pants, motorcycles or anything in between then feel free to e-mail it to bestbeginnermotorcycles@gmail.com .

Chances are if its well written and you include 2-5 pictures I'll post it on the website with credit to you and you can pick a T-shirt from the store as compensation. ( http://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/store )

Haha, if I was made of money I would offer more than T-shirts as compensation, but for now the shirts and the good feeling you'll get from helping other riders (and supporting this site!) will have to do.

For an example of a fantastic review check out Uncle_Bernies review of the S40 compared to the S50. I posted that a few months ago after I saw it on the forum and thought that it would help new riders to see it. http://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/suzuki-boulevard-s40-vs-suzuki-bo...

If the BBM shirts are not doing it for you then you can substitute a BBM shirt for a Juror2 shirt, you can check out which designs are available at http://www.juror2.etsy.com

Have fun and happy writing/riding!!!

(PS. Hey uncle bernie, e-mail me so I can send you a shirt if you want it!)

I just bought a new pair of riding gloves and have been dieing to tell people what i think of them. Ill write a review but it might be awhile seeing as i have to work.
Thanks.

Ben, I tried those Shift Hybrid gloves for $30. For some reason the outside knuckle guard on the right glove "pokes" my hand and can be quite uncomfortable. Ever experience that? I have no issue with the left one, so maybe my right hand is just a bit larger than the other?

Which gloves are you refering to, I have some shift gloves I was going to review but I didn't think I posted them yet.

Sometimes differences can be either because one hand is slightly larger/smaller than the other or because the gloves aren't identical. Is it a poke because the glove is too small, or because there is something inside of the glove? Maybe try turning the offending glove inside out and see if you can snip whatever is poking you?

if it's a stiff string used to hold the layers together i wouldn't snip it since they usually tie it off and you can unravel it like that, get a thin piece of fabric like that thin tissue cloth that they have in cd holders, and super glue it over the poking part of the glove, but make sure you glue in dots and not a constant line since the glue will harden and crack and make more things to poke you

Listen to SBL not me, I don't really know anything about tailoring haha. See this is why the forum is great, without SBL I might have ruined your gloves!

Yea I know nothing about motorcycles but I know how to sew. . .

I guess that's why I am here.
Oh yeah if you think it needs a little more padding there you might try a thicker piece of fabric, but I wouldn't go to thick since it might make it bind around the joints, and you would have to sew it in so it doesn't fray on you.
Hence why you can glue spun cotton, and not woven fabric since you'd have to glue the whole outer edge of it.

You didn't review these yet, but I think you mentioned them at some point in a post.

Anyway, I'm eager to go home and investigate the problem more thoroughly. Although, with the temperatures dropping, I'll be looking for a pair of warmer gloves too. Perhaps SBL can sew/knit/tailor/embroider me a real nice pair with sweet liners.

Ah yes I do have those,

The both seemed fine to me, but I'm assuming the reason it is sticking you in the hand is quality control and the gloves are not identical. The gloves are good for their cost, but they are not going to be as great as some 80 dollar race gloves.

a digital camera, and about 32 years riding experience. Give me time to get caught up with editing my astronomy club's newsletter, taking photos at music festivals and riding my bike, and I'll submit some reviews. I have a few pieces of gear to review. Some good. Some bad. Some middling.

Ben, Would you be interested in some how-to articles? If so, I'd be happy to submit a few over the winter.

*just kidding Ben... well, not about the how-to articles... :-P
