Greetings from Oregon

Hello everyone!

Been lurking around the site for the past few days just doing a lot of reading and research, and decided to take the plunge. Also wanted to say thanks for putting together such a great site for newbies like me. There is some absolutely wonderful wisdom here, and I can't think of a better place to start.

Well, for me it's a dream and idea who's time has come. I've had some experience riding scooters when I was younger, and always wanted to upgrade to a real motorcycle "someday". LOL! Things finally came together in my life such that "someday" finally happened. Signed up for the MSF basic riding course for the end of November, and are planning to buy my first bike around that time. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to learn all I can and lining up my gear in the process.

Again, thanks for all your help, and look forward to getting to know everyone here better!

Heya! Heard Oregon's got some nice twisties. Be safe and have fun runnin' them. :-)
