9+ hours, 200+ mile trip on a Ninja 250

Jim's picture

I wanted to test out my endurance and see what kind of distance I could get on my lil Ninjaette. So I geared up and headed east for a 9 hour road trip. It was a great ride, took me from the mountains and valleys of the Wasatch Front, to the flat lands and deserts of eastern Utah/ Wyoming to the lake and mountains area of Bear Lake. Enjoy the pics, I enjoyed the ride. Oh and the little 250 handled anything I threw at her, even the 9000 altitude of the mountain pass of Monte Cristo. The winds blew my butt pretty good on the flats toward Wyoming but it was all good. And only used $14 in gas! My butt was a little sore towards the end, I bought some HT overpants and wasn't used to the padding on the backside, but all in all my 44 year old body held up well.

This is coming down the other side of the mountain pass by my home.

This is called Monte Cristo, lots of snowmobiling in the winter here.

Almost at the top of Monte Cristo.

Looks like I wasn't the only one out for a Sunday Ride, that road keeps going and going up to 9000 feet altitude.

Totally jealous

Totally jealous. What beautiful riding country. I would have had to stop and enjoy often myself. (-: That is indeed a nice bike as well . . . . no wonder it is so hard to get them.
