Could it be true? Has Kawasaki actually listened to their consumers and given the ancient looking Ninja 250 an extensive overhaul? I can't be positive, but from these spy pictures taken in Barcelona, it looks like our dreams might come true in 2008!!!

Is this is true...
If this is the new 2k8 model I may be waiting a while, maybe hit the gym and fit it a bit better... heh
Does anyone know of any talk about the model?
It looks like they are
It looks like they are filming... hmm hint?
If that is the case, it could be a short while before we hear something. But we don't know that this is the next model. However it wont stop me from wanting to know!
thank god
i've been seeing these spy shots on alot of different forums, all i can say is fcking finally, the old gpx was ugly as all hell, most of the people i c riding it are all losers. If they had this bodykit option when i was still looking for a 250, i would have most probably bought it
i also hear that this might be the new kawa 125cc model, cbr's 125cc bike has been dominating the market there latly
kawi 2008 model show will be
kawi 2008 model show will be coming in about 2 weeks according to my local dealer and all forums i'v been reading... should answer our questions then and hopefully it will be this new look!
I wish that they would have
I wish that they would have more smaller cc bikes here than they do. in a lot of other countries, they have a ton of cool little bikes. Do you think that the Kawi or the eliminator would be a better beginner bike for around town. I also wish that they would bring the cbr125 here. that is a sweet little bike.
FINALLY
and it only took 22 years....
BRING IT TO THE U.S.A !!!!!!!!!!!

yo we best be getting that
yo we best be getting that bike in canada like sure we might be getting the yamaha and we do have the honda (wich is a very very kewl bike) but this new kawasaki has double the power and double the sexy looks. i really really hope that we get it in canada i think if they do decide to send it to canada it'll sell fast and will be a higher seller then the honda cbr125r and besides if they don't all us canadians will just go to the states and get it using a broker and paying the duty on it so either way i'm still going to get one. go leafs go!!!!!!!!!!!
it is now thankfully out in

Ninja 250R 2008 will be out in Australia -only in black or red !
Yes, the Ninja 250R 2008 are out in Australia but not yet sold to the public. Customs are holding them due to some kind of compliance issues. These bikes are so cool but will only be available in black or red. Apparently, more people are placing orders for black ones. I personally prefer the red. Traditional Green will not be available until next year, so I was told.
These bikes look so much better than the old GPX250 baby Ninja.
Does anyone know the top speed? Accelaration? Is this going to be better that the grey imports ZX2R?
2008 Ninja 250
Just sat on the new 2008 Ninja 250 in Vancouver. It looks exactly this one in the photo, with a 2-into-1 silencer on the right side. No fuel injection yet. but otherwise a really nice bike. It's about $1200 more than in the USA, which means I'll be buying mine in the USA since there's no reason for the extra $1000 except for the bilingual Owner's manual.
2008Ninja250R
To answer Lem's question, the manufacturers have advised that the top speed is 160kph,and fuel economy is 16km/lt,or 80km/gallon in the old lingo. As to why they are only importing them in red or black, and not the green or blue,is anyone's guess.personally,I would have liked one in the "Candy Plasma Blue",but will have to settle for the "Passion Red"
They have now sorted out the ADR compliance(it was an issue with the rear fender being too thin)but an optional extra is the "Fender Eliminator"kit, which i will be getting, cos the fender is the only thing on this bike that looks crap.
Pre-orders are swallowing up all of the first shipments,so there may still be a wait.
If it goes as good as my 2001 GPX,I'll be happy, and who needs more than 160kph anyway, unless you're on a race track!
Marty.Footnote>These bikes are $3490 +ORC in USA,but $6490+ORC in Australia(that's a lot of tax)bloody govt!
